navigate is over:[ Im SO SO SO SAD!!!! well idk how i did on todays final but it was so fun today!!!

anyways I was looking at my sisters myspace and she wrote this last night and posted it on there today

finals tommorow

i am like so pumped for finals Sunday. the study guide looks easy but i cant under estimate the test because if it is had I'm in deep deep water.

today i went to my Nana's house and great aunt's house to go help them out and check on them, my Nana is like 95 and my aunt is like 64 so you know how it goes at a old persons house, you go in it smells the same every time she is and worried about the vacuum streaks on the carpet and they are watching an old john Wayne movie. well that's my Nana.

Ministry Project

For my ministry project, I interviewed/shadowed Crystal Tullos. As you know, her job is being a youth pastor! Plus some other things, like counseling, budgeting, finances, etc. The day was packed with meetings, Navigate stuff, and baby stuff to do. It was kind of crazy to say the least. I definitley have gained new respect for her after seeing everything that she does and learned that it's not all fun and games (like grading papers....ugh). A big thing that came to mind was that if you want to work in ministry, you'd better be dedicated.

well my post is kinda on the same lines as Chase's but much longer so bare with me. anywhoo i just wanted to say how grateful i am for everyone. For Mrs Shantell, Mrs Samantha, Karina, Pastor Crystal and Tyler; just everyone. this summer has done so much for me and i know y'all had to give up alot of time and effort but i just wanted to say it wasn't for nothing. I know without all of y'all i couldn't grow like have this summer. Because i have grown so much.

Crystal remember that talk you had with year 1 about how if only one thing we would this summer is respect then that would be OK. Well hope we all learned that and i am sorry i was guilty for not saying thank you for taking me on the MysteryTrip but i admire you for everything you do and even though you don't see the fruits of you labor they are there and each day you impact someones life so don't give in ever because your amazing. So thank you and i will miss everyone SO much. I wouldn't take this experience back for anything. I love y'all

I have enjoyed navigate so much! i have learned so much. My Ministry Project!!!!!

For my ministry project I chose my mom, Dee Dee Rentz. She is an administrative assistant at Healing Place Church. She plans travel for Pastor Dino and DeLynn and also for the staff of HPC. She also works in the finance department helping with the entry of credit card charges and also the weekly offering count. It was fun and I learned that no matter how fun working at the church would be it is also still hard work.

i have some excellent neighbors. They are Katlen, Seth, Katie, and Ethen. Oh my goodness we did the exact same activity that Zoe did. I had no clue! Well we did ours outside and had scooters, water guns, balls, and shoes all on the drive way. The first time, Katie directed katlyn and Seth directed Ethen. Then it got harder we changed the coarse and i started yelling so they could not hear the directions. Then we did it one last time and i was yelling even louder in their ear. That was the hardest level for them. It was quite fun for me. The learned to trust each other and how to give and receive directions. They were very positive in the beginning and positive threw out. They really liked the game. I learned how to lead a group effectively. ---- Chase

Ok, so for the teamwork project, we had a very interesting activity. It had to deal with a blind fold and obstacles. OOOOOOO. So, we had one person at one end of the room, and another at the other.:). There were various small, to medium size objects on the floor. And the object of the game was to lead the blindfolded person across the room and to get them to sit in the chair on the other side.

Well, Zack, Dylan, and I got together with my two cousins and played this game. Zack tried it first. My cousin was blindfolded and Zack lead him across the room. But it was really hard at first. My cousin Miles hit a lot of the stuff on the floor, because at first, Zack's directions weren't clear enough.

Then, Dylan lead Gage around the room. It was a little easier beacause Dylan instructed him better.

Then, I was blindfolded, and Zack lead me around the room. It was really easy, because instructions were very easy.

We talked about it, and what we got was that as a leader, if you don't give good instructions to a person who is under you, the can have a really hard time getting to the goal.

So, that's it.

my ministry project i did the same thing as laci!! we both did childrens ministry with kari. i also did it on july 9th, but anyways i never knew you childrens ministry was so confusing!! but kari does an amazing job! I really would like to help out in childrens church and sdo things like taht because i just love seeing how on fire all the kids are for God. Kari explained her job to us and it seems pretty hard she has to prepare for 4 sevices and organize blue sushi stuff and sometimes more!!! On Monday, July 9th I decided to start my Ministry project and I choose Kari Smith from Children's Ministry. It was the week of Vacation Bible School so I thought it would be prefect. We had so much fun and I learned so much. It is not an easy job having to work with kids but it looks like fun. Kari has to deal with alot of things like Blue sushi, JC's, camps, and many other things. We had lots of fun. I think Children's Ministry would be a fun and cool ministry to be in sometime in the future. Thank you Kari for a fun and exciting day.

anyways for my elderly project pretty much every friday and other days of the week i often go and help out with cooking for christ. i know i know your porbably thinking thats it right? but actually i think its really rewarding. i get to meet some awesome people like brother larry, mr bubba, mr richard, mrs tracy...etc. and help other people come closer to God. Well i love to do it and some of you lazy people (oh dont make me point you out :D) need to come out and do it because you'll love it too. i guarentee beacuse it totally beast..haha.

Well, during last week, I went over and helped my grandma. I helped her carry groceries from her car, and I helped clean around her house. She had a lot of groceries, too! She was very thankful, and gave me a bag of fortune cookies she had gotten. We ate a few, and then I had to go.
I know it's not much. But I kinda felt good after helping her. She seemed really happy, and I was too.

well hello there. just thought i would stop in and leave a post. Well today was the last day of VBS and can i say i am totally pooped. After crazzy kids, feeling sick, and breaking my shoe ( long story) i would still have to say it was totally worth it. Just to sit and watch these kids have fun learning about God was super awesomeness. I am so happy i decided to do this. VBS rocked my face off and i wouldnt change it for the world.

Camp was just as awesome. God did a great work in my life and others. I just love the beach so much! Rev. Spike is spectacular. Wow how I should submerge my self in God! I miss Florida so bad. me my sisters, McCall and Isabella were watching this show and it was SO sad!!! it was on the smallest people inthe world and they were talking about how they hated the way they looked and people never talked to them they would just talk about them and it made me want to cry!!!! It was SO SAD!!! idk when it comes back on im watching it again there was a ten year old gil that weighed 9 pounds and there was a 43 year old and she weighed 34 pounds!!!! they were so small and it was so sad because they had normal sized siters and brothers but they were different and like they 10 year old had a swimming party and her firends left her out because she wasnt tall enough to stand in like 4 feet water and she said she hated the way she was and the show is called smallest people in the world or something and it comes on 48 (its not little people big world) yall should watch it man!!!! it is really good and like idk it just made me think alot so yea well im going swimming - jessica schafer

was great the first night when tyler went up and started talking about let it go and stuff and forgive someone it was so cool! i was mad at some one there about some things they had said to me and i was thinking about going and talking to them about it and stuff but then tyler started talking about that and it felt like some one went and told him jessica is oing throuh this and she needs to hear these words! it was so cool!!!!!!!!! then me and laci stayed up for EVER that night talking about stuff like camp and what we were expecting and i told her i was confused about like the some stuff then rev.spikes went and talked about it and that was pretty cool!!!!!! then i got baptized ! and the message tyler gave wed. morning was so relevant to me!!!! but camp was cool how like everything i needed to hear just happened and i was so amazed!!!!!!!!! at camp i met some new people... they already went to pathfinders i just never talked to them and i am so glad i met them!!!! regan katy and sabrina were who i met and they are SO fun to be around!!!! they crack me up i was like dying on the bus because when i laugh it makes me cough so i think thats funny so i laugh harder then i cough harder then it hurts to cough and its REALLY funny!!! but anyways camp was great!!! and I cant wait to see all the amazing things i can do for God!!! to my dad. i don't know how but it seems like he is always right but i guess that's a good thing.

we went to my grandparents house for lunch on Sunday and he played ping pong, my dad smoked the ball right at my head and who knew that a ping pong ball would hurt so bad. at least he didn't mean to, all i saw was a white wall coming straight at me and then the next thing i knew i was on the floor laughing at myself but i can see why everyone was making fun of me.

TEAM POINT TOTALS

I just updated this weeks bonus points & deductions...
Don't forget every blog is worth 5 bonus points...blog away! When you add pictures it's worth an extra 10 points!

Year 1-Team 2 had a total of 66 minutes in deductions due to tardies & no t-shirts & 1600 points in deductions due to leaving 16 peices of trash on the shuttle bus! They earned almost 1200 more points at their outreach at DVILLE by sorting library books than Team 1!

Year 1-Team 1 had a total of 33 minutes in deductions due to tardies & no t-shirts.

Both teams were awarded 450 points because Pastor Crystal was 45 mintues late to class on Sunday!

Year 2-Team 1 got a 50 point bonus because Travin LeBlanc was caught picking up someone else's area in the sanctuary on Friday morning! That's away to be excellent! Jessica Schafer is definitely keeping you guys in the running by all of her blogging! I don't know if she can keep up with JD though :)

Year 2-Team 2 had a few too many tardies this week! Get out of bed you sleepy heads!

Tonighit's service is very hard to describe, not i a bad way, in a completely life-changing, world-rocking way. So much stuff went down during worship and altar call! Someone thats been having a hard time compltely broke free of what was binding her; to witness that and be a part of it was just awsome. I realized tonight that when you feel someones pain, relief, joy, etc. is when you really know your heart's in the right place, and that you're doing what you're doing for the right reasons. Does that makes sense? Anyways, i'm not saying any of this to make myself look cool or "expierienced" or whatever, i'm saying it just because i can't keep it to myself. We should all have that feeling, because what's inside of us and what goes on around us in church and navigate is so amazing, and changings so many lives that we need to share the great feelings! One more thing: during altar call i was praying for somebody and the Holy Spirit was able to work through me and minister to that person. They started crying, and i couldnt believe i(or really God) could have an impact on someone my own age! We really do have so much power in us , we just have to let ourselves go and let the Holy Spirit work through us and do what it needs to do! It's not about us or our feelings, it's about the person that we're ministering to's feelings, and their needs!
Okay, i'm not trying to preach to you or anything, and i hope this wasn't too cheesy for anyone who happens to read this...

Seriously now, you have the power, ability, and call to change the world...USE IT!

Hey, today was a really weird day. And I say this mainly referring to Paris Hilton. When I found out she wasn't going to jail, I was furious! Like who does this chick think she is?(oh wait, she's Paris Hilton. The heiress to the Hilton hotels who is SO rich, it's just not healthy!) Well, I was pretty ticked and then she came back up on the news. This time, she was going back to Jail. As they showed her screaming and crying for her mom, my first thought was "Ha ha, poor little rich girl!," "How pathetic!", "It serves her right!", etc... Well, then I remembered something I learned at summer session. They also talked about it at church. It was how my thoughts should be God's thought. Well, I was feeling kinda bad because I don't think God would say those things about Paris. Yes, she is spoiled, but she really could be scared. She was raised knowing that nothing would happen to her because of who she was, and now, this. She's actually being punished, and it really might be overwhelming her. I guess it's cool that God taught me something by using Paris Hilton. And now, instead of talking about her and making fun of her, I will be thinking of her and praying for her. And who knows, maybe Paris will really get something out of this. Until then, I'll be praying for her!

was really fun!!! i loved going to the outreach i really realized how much we take for granted because we have so much at pathfinders and we are all so used to how nice everything is and they have pretty much nothing! its really sad how much we take it all for granted! the only bad thing about helping was the cockroaches they were so gross!!!!! I really hope I can go back there and help there and stuff!!! It was so fun going there!!!! the classes were really good today!!!! see a homeless man and/or woman, I FREAK! I always try to reach out to them but they are so stubborn. I mean I try to help them! I try my best but, I don't know if I should even bother giving money. I don't know if they are homeless or just simply faking to get some money. Everytime I give and give and they go spend it on Beer and etc. I think we should go to a needy center and do an outreach this summer. Anyone else?

Yesterday at Summer Session was awesome, we went to the thrift store to look for white rapper stuff but there wasn't anything there but thanks anyway T, we had the best classes i learned a lot from Tyler and mark. anyway I'm glad that summer session has finally started.

Hey, We were just talking about Criss Angel, also known as "Mind Freak". We brought Dylan to his mom, but ont the way there, we somehow got into a conversation about him. There is something going around that he is the anti christ and that got me thinking. He is impersonating christ in somethings, like, walking on water, making miracles(like dropping food from the sky, and even turning water into wine). There's even a rumor that says he is going to try to bring himself back to life. It's kind of weird. What do you think about it Crystal?

first of all a big shout out to my dad for dropping me of at the annex at like 6 in the morning. This morning at the prayer meeting with my sister, tori, I was reading 2 timothy. God spoke to me and said that i need to listen to Paul's instructions to timothy and the church in Ephesus. Paul said to timothy "stay away from wicked conversation and actions."

My friends away from church are a bad influence. I'm trying to get them to come to pathfinder tomorrow, but they don't like church. But ill change that for sure.

yesterday at summer session was so awesome it helped me understand the purpose of the gospels alot betterer, and Pastor Dino's lesson was so "relavant" to me. I mean the whole thing about making God's compassion our compassion. It really got to me because it showed me that I need to have more compassion towards other people in everything I do. 1st Day of Class

Yesterday was the first day of class for Navigate. It was really life changing for me. We were learning how to really read the Bible, instead of just opening it and being like "So whats next." In class we talked about the four Gospels, Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John. After that we went to service and Pastor Rizzo talked about Jonah and the whale. He was talking about how stupid it is to run from God.He said its so stipid to get into a boat when you know the dangers of the sea. Another thing to remeber when running from God dont skydive.

The Dead Sea Scrolls

I read some more about The Dead Sea Scrolls and they are the best way to prove that the bible is not just made up. They were found in cave right by the Dead Sea in 1947 by a Bedouin shepherd boy. Here are some cool pictures I found.

today was a greAT day i had so much fun being in the place god wants me to be!!! today was cool because we talked about the 4 gospels, matthew,mark,luke,and john the first three are called synoptic gospels because they were very much the same unlike john he wasn't 1 of the 12 desciples.anyway i did not know any of this information till today so i think it's a blessing tobe in navgate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also church was so cool . pastor dino talked about jonah it makes me want to read the bible alot alot alot more!!!

today's lesson was about the gospels. I learned alot i didn't know for instance that the 4 gospels were matthew mark luke and john and that john was not 1 of the disciples. and we did alot of fun things today! today's church lesson was on jonah and the "whale" i put it in qotes because some say it was a big fish. but i also learned alot more. I think I'm going to have a great summer!!!

My First Navigate Class

Today was my first class ever for navigate. I had such a great time. I loved the lesson Crystal taught today. Learning about how the Bible was written was a great eyeopener. After knowing that the Bible is the inspired word from God.It makes me want to just read His word and not STOP!!! I now realize that I just put the Bible aside and turn on the TV or get another book. But after this morning I just want to throw the TV in the garbage and throw all my other books away and have the Bible. The Bible is such a great gift from out heavenly Father, who created the world and us, and sent his son to die on the cross. He did so much for us and I think me and everybody can spend 15 minutes reading his word.

The calm before the storm...it's 8:21am and I'm sitting in my office putting the finishing touches on the outline for the 1st year's students first class of the summer! Mrs. Connie is at her house studying one last time to teach the 2nd year students about how to defend the fact that the Bible is the true, inspired Word of God to an unbeliever!

I am so overwhelmed by the number of students who have made the committment this summer to go to the next level in their relationship with God! I can not wait to see all that God does in your lives...I challenge you to stay the course and run the race with perserverance and excellence! Anytime you offer anything to God, He will always give you more than you could ever hope for or imagine!
